Reaching out with Jesus’s love to meet people’s greatest and deepest need is fundamental to all the work of International Aid Trust. We work in partnership with over 1,900 local churches around the world, who are committed to ministering to their local communities. We also support prison and hospital ministry, sponsor pastors and church buildings, and provide Bibles. We are looking forward to opening the Community Hub at our headquarters in Chorley and the opportunities to share our faith that will bring.
From our warehouse in Lancashire we send out hundreds of tonnes of donated aid each year, including everything from food to hospital beds, clothing to generators and of course shoebox gifts! Aid is always distributed by our own staff and volunteers or by partner churches and Christian organisations as part of their ministry, ensuring that help gets to the people who need it most. We are also able to take referrals from charities and other agencies local to our headquarters for furniture and other items for their clients.
Investing in long term development tailored to the needs of local communities. Education is a huge part of the way out of the cycle of poverty, we run schools in Sierra Leone that provide quality education, free lunches and a caring Christian environment. Children from deprived villages in Ukraine, Moldova and the Philippines benefit from after school clubs and holiday camps run by local churches. Skills training for adults include construction work and the ‘Hands of Dorcas’ tailoring training projects. Free clinics for people unable to access healthcare, drugs and alcohol rehabilitation projects and ‘family style’ homes for rescued children are all part of our ministry.
