What an unforgettable evening!
On Saturday 17th October, we celebrated the 35th Anniversary of International Aid Trust at the magnificent St George’s Church, Chorley — the largest church in the town, with seating for over 1,000 people. (My oldest brother Louis was church warden there for many years) and Chorley is where we began in 1991. Thank you St George’s !!!
What a wonderful sight to see the church overflowing with friends, supporters and so much love!
It was a truly memorable evening of thanksgiving, celebration, music and inspiration, with wonderful performances from both the United Kingdom and Ukraine.
We were especially honoured by the presence of Lord and Lady Shuttleworth, Lord Charles being one of our valued Patrons, together with the Mayor and Mayoress of Chorley, the Chairman of Lancashire County Council, and many other distinguished guests, church leaders, friends and supporters.
It was also a tremendous joy to welcome our overseas ministry leaders, particularly those from war-torn Ukraine.
But above all, this was an opportunity to say THANK YOU!
Thank you to our incredible volunteers, trustees, staff, supporters, churches, donors and friends who have stood alongside us over these 35 remarkable years.
From small beginnings in 1991, God has opened doors we could never have imagined, enabling us to bring practical help, hope and Christian love to countless people in desperate need.
The evening was not simply a celebration of what has been achieved, but a celebration of the wonderful people who made it possible.
To everyone who attended, performed, organised, contributed or supported us in any way, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
And above all, we give God the glory!
Our guiding principle remains unchanged: “Never look down on anyone unless you are bending down to lift them up.”
