From the very start of the war we have been funding vehicles, firstly vans and trailers for aid distribution and then as the need became clear, we began to source and to send ambulances and 4×4 pickups for emergency transport, to date we have been able to provide nearly one hundred vehicles.

Thank you very much to everyone who has supported this appeal, these vehicles are helping to save so many lives.

In the spring of 2025 we sent six emergency vehicles out from Bolton Town Hall; four ambulances and two pickups. They were driven by a team of military veterans including The Mayor of Bolton, the Mayor of Westhoughton and the Mayor of Blackrod, friends from the Royal British Legion, Igor Reshetov, our Logistics and Distribution Manager, and long-time volunteer Jon Field. The team of drivers from the UK are pictured below left, on their journey to Krakow in Poland, where they handed the vehicles over to our Ukrainian Director, Pastor Pasha and his team, who then drove them on to our base in Ukraine.

These vehicles were then handed over in a service at our Motovylivka church (above right) to military medics, chaplains and volunteers. Our Founder and CEO, Rev. Bernard Cocker writes, “There were grown men and women in tears, as they gave testimonies of the lives saved because of your kind donations. It was very emotional indeed. We prayed for these brave warriors and rescuers and then waved them off to the east and south.”

The ambulance below left was driven over from Motovylivka by an army chaplain, who is pictured being received by his unit in, they sent a message of their appreciation; “Thank you very much, the ambulance will save thousands of lives. With your help we will 100% have the victory!”

Our Ukraine Director, Pastor Pasha is pictured above right, handing over a 4×4 pickup to James, who grew up close to our headquarters in Chorley and is now part of the 12th Special Forces Brigade “Azov” of the National Guard in Ukraine. James says, “Thank you very much for this donation which will make a big difference on the front line helping us save lives, you’re doing a smashing job, keep up the good work!”

Thank you very much to everyone who has kindly donated or volunteered in any way to make the provision of these vehicles possible. Sadly your help is still greatly needed, vehicles being used to rescue and treat the injured at the front lines are often a target for missiles, some vehicles we have sent have been destroyed.

We thank God for his good provision of life-saving vehicles and for all the rescuers and chaplains who drive them. We pray for God’s protection for all drivers of emergency vehicles in Ukraine, and for the chaplains as they minister and share hope in Jesus.
